Trading troubleshooting
Fix permission errors, stale authorisations, missing chains and orders that won't submit.

| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Trading permissions not enabled" | Open the Trade tab and click Enable trading on that specific account. Authorisation is per account, not per login. |
| Badge stuck on Pending authorization | The broker approval didn't complete. Re-run Enable trading and finish the flow at the broker, then refresh the account strip. |
| Options chain won't load | Check the symbol is optionable and the expiry filter isn't excluding everything. Outside market hours the chain falls back to last-known data. |
| Order rejected by the broker | The rejection reason appears on the execution receipt — usually buying power, an options approval level at the broker, or a price band on a limit order. |
| Balances look stale | Force a refresh from the sync indicator. Brokers publish balances on their own schedule, especially right after a fill. |
If a connection keeps dropping, disconnect it and reconnect through the wizard. That reissues the credentials cleanly rather than patching a stale link.
